Powerful message of hope by Minister Darrick McGhee . When you feel alone thinking that God is hearing everyone but you, take heart to know that he is indeed working out your struggle even when you can’t see it or feel it.

Hope you are as blessed by this article as I was:

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God.  Have you ever watched other people experience overflow in their lives?  It appeared as if everytime they turned around something awesome was happening in their lives.  Whether they expect it or not, the blessings keep coming.  Have you ever felt as if even the unfaithful, unbelieving and unrighteous seem to be prospering in life?  No matter how faithful you are, no matter how consistent you are with your tithes, no matter how willing you are in life, your well still appears dry while “so and so” is living how he/she wants and resources never run out.  Have you ever been there?  Are you there now?

Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you.  My friend, have you ever asked God that one heart-burning question: “When Is It My Turn?”  After careful consideration, days of wondering and nights of crying, you finally had the strength and gall to ask the question.  As much as you love God, within you feel overlooked.  You feel as if God is being unfair (Romans 2:11).  (Be honest with yourself!)  I have been there.  I am young but I have been through a lot.  I remember asking God this question after watching everyone around me enjoy increase but me.  During my sophomore year in college, my three roommates never suffered lack or want while I scraped just to buy noodles.  I remember being mad at God and He directed me to His word.  The Bible declares in Psalms 37:1-2 – Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.  2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

My brother, my sister, are you inwardly mad at God?  Has your anger and disappointment caused you to stray from church, reading your Bible or trusting God for a breakthrough?  I know how easy it is to fake like everything is well, but lets be real.  Is your heart still pumping after God?  Are you still asking that question, “When Is It My Turn?”  Beloved, you must understand God knows when the timing is right.  Right before you breakdown, He will always send a breakthrough.  King David wrote in Psalms 37:25 – I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.  Child of God, from this day forth, stop asking when it will be your turn.  Start preparing yourself for your turn.  I would hate for your turn to come and you are not ready because of your constant complaining.

Scripture Reading for Today: Psalms 37

May God Bless you at Your point of need!

We are living in times of darkness and evil. The enemy is seeking to bring down those who belong to Christ. Believers are members of one body in Christ. When one member suffers, we all do. I am asking for prayer for Pastor Saeed Abedini, an American citizen, who was arrested and imprisoned in Iran where he went to visit his family. He has been tortured for his faith locked in a dungeon cell. On Monday, January 21st, Pastor Saeed will face a judge in Iran known as the “hanging judge”. We must keep Saeed in prayer and petition our elected officials to do all that they can to demand that Saeed be returned safely from Iran! He is an American citizen who lives in Idaho with his wife and children. There should be outrage from our government. I pray that you all will keep this story going until Saeed is set free.  We need your voice to be heard!

TEHRAN, IRAN (ANS) — A letter from Saeed Abedini, a U.S. minister imprisoned in Iran, has made its way, through family members, to the Assemblies of God national offices in the United States.

The letter, carried out from Iran’s notoriously brutal Evin Prison, in northwestern Tehran, tells of beatings and interrogations, around-the-clock bright lights and ongoing lies designed to create hope, in order to crush it.

According to a story from Dan Van Veen of the AG News & Information Service (www.ag.org), “The remarkable letter also reveals a depth of faith and compassion that could only be granted by God.”

Pastor Saeed Abedini, a U.S. minister, has been imprisoned in Evin Prison in Tehran for his faith since Iranian authorities removed him from a bus in September 2012 while he was visiting his homeland.

God’s word says that no weapon formed against you shall prosper . There is nothing that can destroy a child of God yet so many believers live defeated lives at the foot of the cross of victory! How can that be?

Fear and discouragement are two of the most powerful weapons that the enemy uses to bring believers down. Although the power of Christ lives in us, the storms of life can fill us with hopelessness and anxiety as the lies of darkness attack our soul. These fiery darts of evil attack our mind to magnify our problems and diminish the power of our God. It is a lie from the depth of hell!

As difficult as it is to stand your ground in times of trouble, the fact is that Jesus is a powerful stronghold and a strong tower to run to for protection from the battle. You absolutely cannot be defeated from an enemy that has been rendered powerless through the cross of Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection finished the work of redemption and bought for us a promise of eternal life with him.

In Psalm 107:28-28 we read, “Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper, the waves of the sea were hushed”. Jesus alone has the power to still the storms in your life and quiet the waves of your troubles. The darkness of your situation cannot diminish the light of Christ whose power has no limits. The world around you may be crumbling but God will lift you out of your difficulties and set your feet upon a rock. As you trust in him, your cries will be changed to songs of praise as you watch the right hand of God bring victory in your life and give you strength to stand in faith.

As the days grow short and evil increases, the destroyer will try to rob you of your hope. He will attempt to fill your mind with anxiousness and fear as you endure the struggles of this life. If he can discourage you with his lies, he can make you ineffective for the kingdom of God. Satan wants to make you feel defeated when Christ has made you more than a conqueror. That which comes against you is filtered through the Savior’s hand and he knows the good that he can accomplish through it. He can do what he says he can do.

There is nothing in this life that can stand against the purpose and plan God has for you. It does not matter what the doctor’s report says for God alone has determined the number of your days. He does not care about what stage your cancer is in, his power will always be greater. Your financial struggle is no match for our God who owns the world and everything in it. The pain and heartache you suffer will bring you nearer to God for he is close to the brokenhearted. He will dry your tears and give you his perfect peace if you will keep your eyes on him. God is the restorer of homes and families and he can heal your brokenness. Christ who died to give us the victory is a mighty force to be reckoned with. Years of addiction and bondage can be healed as you surrender your struggles to the nail pierced hands of Jesus. He won’t fail so you can’t fail!

Never surrender to the enemy. Christ paid a heavy cost for your victory and it can’t be taken from you. Don’t give up! He has dispatched legions of angels to help you in this battle. You aren’t alone.

If you belong to Christ, you can’t lose!

Dear Lord, Please help those who are struggling in their faith to understand that you are with them in the battle and that the enemy has no power over those who belong to you. Please give them a peace and an understanding to know that you will take them through this trial and provide for them the strength they need to have a life that is filled with your blessings. Amen
